Tea college holds large-scale characteristic practice activities for tea major students every year with aim to cultivate students' professional ability and improve the comprehensive quality of tea majors. While passing tea ceremonies and virtues on and promoting tea culture, students can better apply theoretical knowledge to practice and implement the spirit of "being good with the virtue of clean behavior and thrifty virtue".
First of all, we put emphasis on enhancing students’ practical ability by holding a series of activities as "tea picking, tea making, tea tasting and tea evaluating". At different period of time, class students were sent to tea gardens of teaching practice base to experience tea picking and tea making. Under the guidance of professional teachers, tea major students successfully completed the training of standardizing tea harvesting, heating or steaming to de-enzyme, rolling, drying and other processes. Also tea parties were organized, where students sang and enjoyed the tea fried by themselves. Last but not the least with the help of professional teachers, competitions were held for tea evaluation from the appearance and quality of the tea fried by students. Our students’ professional theoretical knowledge and practice were skillfully combined to deepen their knowledge of tea through these activities.

Second, we stress the inheritance of tea culture through such activities as tea mat design, competition of tea art and other activities to demonstrate styles of tea ceremony so that to improve students’ tea culture literacy, expand their interests, and deepen their understanding of traditional Chinese tea culture. In addition, these activities can also allow more people who know tea and love tea to enjoy the fragrance and rhythm of tea together, discuss tea ceremony, taste tea with friends, and share a healthy and beautiful life.
